Lego Star Wars Days are here again!

To celebrate Lego Star Wars Days, it’s an action-packed intergalactic adventure happening at Legoland Malaysia Resort again, from now till May 13!

They came from galaxies far, far away to Legoland
Malaysia Resort to celebrate Lego Star Wars Days!
And to kick off the celebration, adventurers have come from galaxies far, far away – to show their allegiance to either the dark or light side – from Asia-Pacific nations as well as Singapore and various cities in Malaysia, including me from Johor Baru.

The familiar tune of the Star Wars music theme by John Williams (playing on a loop!) echoes the exciting mood for Star Wars fans as they arrive from near and far.

The sweltering tropical sun is keeping the morning temperature at high heat but it’s not deterring fans and families who have come dressed as their favourite Star Wars characters.

Father and son in costume!
I join the long queue to enter the park at 10am and next to me, I spy a father and son (seated in a push-chair), both decked out as Luke and Anakin Skywalker, complete with big and mini light sabers!

The event is truly a family affair as parents share their passion for Star Wars with their children.

This sentiment reflects Legoland Malaysia Resort’s strong commitment to creating quality family bonding time, especially during the Lego Star Wars Days.

Later I will also meet with child versions of Jedi, Princess Leia, Darth Vader and a number New Hope characters. But the most adorable must be a baby clad in a Ewok outfit, complete with a shock of hair on top of his little hood!

Best of all, children aged three to 11 enjoy free entry when they are dressed in full Star Wars costumes throughout the Lego Star Wars Days season!

For this celebration, Legoland Malaysia Resort is proud to present Asia’s largest Lego Star Wars Speed Build Challenge where families enjoy memorable family moments together as they build Lego structures.

Families enjoying memorable family bonding moments
While the fastest builders of the day stand to win limited edition Lego Star Wars products, they will also be contending for the top prize of the highly coveted Lego Star Wars 75192 Millennium Falcon set worth RM3499, which is autographed by its original designer, Hans Burkhard Schlomer.

“At Legoland Malaysia Resort, we enjoy creating family-bonding and educational activities that can bring everyone – young and old – together,” said the resort’s general manager, Kurt Stocks.

“Lego Star Wars Days is one of the annual events that we pay a great deal of attention to as it ties every value that we believe in together. From encouraging learning through play, to unleashing creativity and imagination, all have been well-captured in every activity we have here at the resort,” he added.

Spot a young Darth Vader...
It’s the weekend of April 28 and 29, and I’m more than happy to be among the visitors here to experience the exciting Imperial March.

Along with other invited guests, I’m ushered to the event area to await the start of the Imperial March.

The park’s dancing Stormtroopers and Jedis kick off the event with a dance routine featuring the cute version of the Dark Lord, the Lego Darth Vader, in front of Asia’s only indoor Lego Star Wars Miniland Model Display building.

Then I spot a Chewbacca who came along (from the side of the building!) to join in the dance…

And then it’s time for the much anticipated Imperial March by costume characters in the largest Star Wars Parade of the region!

Decked out in screen-accurate costume replicas, I recognise characters like Jedis, Stormtroopers, Princess Leia, a variety of villains from the New Hope series as well as characters like Princess Amidala and Darth Maul, wearing his menacing mask.

through the streets of the resort
Visitors are quickly ushered out of the way to create a path for the Imperial March who will go striding down the streets of Legoland Malaysia Resort, resplendent in their magnificent costumes.

For many, it is hard to resist snapping photos or we-fies as they watch how these devoted fans have gone all out to dress to the hilt in replica outfits as their favourite Star Wars characters for the Lego Star Wars Days.

During this season, Star Wars fans not only enjoy an exciting experience at the resort but also have exclusive deals on Lego Star Wars Classic merchandise, only available here during Lego Star Wars Days.

What’s more? Families who participate in the Lego Star Wars Speed Build Challenge will receive a RM10 voucher to purchase any Lego Star Wars play materials.

Lego Star Wars Days are for entire families to enjoy together at Legoland Malaysia Resort...
